Hey there guys! I’m digging the purpose behind this group, and I was wondering if anyone has used a liquid mask before? How well does it work, and does the mask come off clean by itself or does it leave some residue? Mr Masking Sol Neo is what I’m interested in (since I heard the regular Mr Masking Sol can make off paint), but if someone can recommend an alternative, it’d be great.

  Only used it once or twice – like I built a 1:144 Wing Zero Custom and used liquid mask to mask off the little green cameras on the forearms after painting them. I found it tough to peel up the masking fluid once the painting was done – though that could have been a result of my inexperience with the product. I think the paint came up with the masking fluid, too – again, could be I was just doing it wrong.
  I’d expect the best way to avoid those isues is to have a smooth, glossy finish on the model part before applying the masking solution, and if necessary use a knife to score any paint layers applied on top of the mask before removing the mask…
