first go at a customizing a kit. i didnt like the 144 Z’Gok, its joints are flimsy and its a bit meh. so it became a piece of test plastic. although the pics don’t show it much the light and dark chrome came out alright…..then after the first attempt at painting i had to go i bit further
    • I am a 1:100 guy, but I like what BANDAI does with the RG line. The Z’Gok is one of my favourit suitdesigns but I dont like the colorsceme of it. The metal fits already much better and in combination with the LEDs it is more than shiny. I will get me the MG version of it some day. But I have no idea for it right now and alot of other stuff tu build. Since it is seabased, it will be something submariney..

    • The weapon led is killer… somehow it kind of reminds me the robot from “Lost in space” 😛

    • i prefer the m1:100 or rg as well but i cant see how i would ever be able to wire LEDs into a rg kit. there’s not even enough room for a resistor

    • Pretty nice custom kit. I like the metallic paint and LEDs in kits is always top notch.

    • the metallic finish isnt paint, i used this kit as a test for some powder stuff called c1 metalizer. i have a battlestar cyclon raider kit to do and then the british pound crashed so i thought what the hell, why not order some and give it a go. good effect, easy to use.

    • I bought something similar, wich is made for chrome and gold fingernails. Made some experiments with medium results but looking forward to the Gyancelots and Gyans I ordered to make shiny knights with it. Do you have some tips for the application? Or does it easily work on gloss black?

    • And how does paint work on it..

    • the recommendation is to be applied on gloss black paint however i have found that lighter plaint (as long as they have a glossy finish) come up with the lighter chrome colours. I have had no issues with masking and applying standard stickers, havent tried water or rubbing decals though. since its a graphite style buff finish i suspect painting over the top may cause issues, but i havent had to try it because its easier to get the paint completed then apply the buff to the areas you want chrome with a mask on the rest. it gets into the panel lines easier than i thought and doesnt come off when handling. there are a few youtube vids on the stuff out there
