First painted build MG GN-X! Would’ve uploaded WIP pics but I was waaay to eager to get started, had no idea how much fun painting would be. This kit was painted with Tamiya Color spray paints. Everything but the bright parts and the purple parts received a base coat of Metallic Black. Dark Blue was added over the armor parts and I’m pleased to say it achieved the desired results. I wanted the kit to look really dark in low light but pop in bright light and that’s what it does.

The brighter parts we painted with Fluorescent Red – the red part sandwiched by hand armor received a base coat of white – this didn’t work out quit as well as I’d hoped. I’d hoped fluorescent red would appear darker but it’s closer to a pink but I still like it, call it a pleasant surprise.

The weapons still require painting and probably won’t be done for another week at least, as I’m currently wrestling with a cold for control of my nose, throat and lungs.
