Sniper Girl by Kotobukiya (Available From HobbyLink Japan – HLJ.com)
Sniper Girl is now put together. Let’s see what she can do!
As usual, all you need is a good set of plastic nippers to get it all put together.
When she’s done, here’s how she looks from the front, side and back. Lots of colors spread out all over.
Here’s a close-up look at one of the faces.
There are actually loads of details all around.
In terms of mobility, her arms can bend almost 90°.
Nice details in the hair as well.
Lots of option parts at your disposal.
Looks like she’s ready for some hungry games.
And not someone you’d really want to mess with.
This was as close as I could get to recreating the cover shot.
Size-wise, she’s shorter than HG Turn A Gundam, who is already taller than most Gundams.
And she’s also shorter than Kos-mos as well.
Some final thoughts. This kit is sort of different from recent kits from Kotobukiya, in no small part because you’re building something that’s supposed to look human(oid) instead of a big blocky robot. The quality is there in terms of mobility, stability, etc. But this kit reminds me of old school kits where you may want to put in the extra time and skill to really bring out its full potential. You may think the face looks a little dull, due to the simple cartoony shape and lack of coloring. And this is where pro painters would probably focus their attention. However, the details and coloring spread out around the kit are already quite good, so you know painting could only make those pop even more. The only thing that needs improvement is the stand. When you’re posing, you need to be careful, as the way the stand holds the kit is quite different from most other Kotobukiya kits. Overall, with strong fundamentals, interesting posing options, and details all over, if you like the face as is / want to add a bit of your own color, this may be a fun kit to add to your shelf. Thanks for checking this out!

Would you know where I could find a copy of the building instructions? Mine didn’t come with it and the site doesn’t have it
