Beginner Modeler – Modeling Competition 2013. 9 years, 7 months ago I attached the rest of the pieces so that the test fit of the kit will not have any problems. I took a picture of the Columbia’s deflector dish since it makes sense than a secondary hull. The process of building will be easy, but the painting will be a challenge. I know it will not a difficult one.

Getting ready to put the parts together, for this one with contour putty. I already did some work on another kit for the advanced level for a fighter plane I’m building.
cool i am planing to by the refit model of the nx-01. how fun was this snap kit.
Already pre-paring to make the final assembly after the test fit, then to paint it, but I believe in the upgrade technology from the Columbia. That NX-01 refit is just too pre-mature and the ending scene where it flew by didn’t even show it. The show is already over since May 13th, 2004, but the new film series started by Abrams is better and not an issue with me at all.
the refit was done by the ship desinger from the enterprise series and its a model only version no show preview XD
Captain Jefferies isn’t a real character. The name was based on Matt Jefferies who design the NCC-1701 Pilot vessel. That re-fit vessel doesn’t exist. Sorry.
He meant Doug Drexler, the guy who designed the NX-01 in real life. Drexler designed a refit NX-01 that includes a secondary hull. It’s since made appearances in the official calendars, posters, novels, etc.
