Night Stalker pre weathering. I added some new wires to the laser and the feet though I have to re-do one of the legs as the wires are too short!
I messed up the visor somehow and its a bit foggy….I really dont know how I did that!!! Oh well….adds to the effect! View
You may find at that temperature, you will get some blotching/mottling. I too live in a cold climate and have issues with clear coating. Warm the can up in warm water (not hot!) and if you can spray indoors eg in the laundry or bathroom, it will make a difference (clear coat should be OK inside). Waterslides are easy. Once you get some setter, they are a snap to put on. You just have to be delicate with bigger ones and dont let them soak too long or they can tear
Some progress….the mech arm went together really well. So much detail in these bits that then gets covered over by the outer armour which is a shame. Luckily Im hoping to expose as much of the guts (and add to it) as possible!!

Are you planning on using only the top part of torso and head of the Zaku in that diorama?
