Finished Kotobukiya’s Mode Lock Fûjin.
My first fully airbrush painted kit. For 5 euros all you get are to semi A4 size runner of a light grey color, a tiny sheet as a manual and … that’s all!
No stickers, no decals, a full DIY kit.
I spent two evenings sanding and cleaning the parts which were full of molding marks, a full Saturday masking and four days painting.
At the end I’m pretty happy with what came out. 🙂

  Turned out really smooth for the first time. This Mode Lock models are great to test things out.

    I got an other Mode Lock kit to do with the AB: the Gernsback from Full Metal Panic. This time I intend to do a full weathering with washes, dry brush, flat top coat and filling with epoxy putty those huge holes at the back of the legs. Lots of masking for this one too with three different tones of gray.

      Yeah, I have the Gernsback too. My first testsubject. Didn’t bother to fill the holes. Be careful not to paint the balljoints. They are fragile and can break easily (hands!). I think I have a photo of him on my profile…
