use masking tape and multiple light layers of paint. That way, you will get sharp edges and an even look in the paint. If you used acrylic paint, you can use a cuetip + some water to fix the edges. If you used enamel paint, you can use enamel thinner + cuetip to clean the edges. The edges can also be lightly chipped away and straightened with the back side of an xacto knife.
