Since the topic is modelling supplies , how many of you all use future floor polish (or equavalent ) as a clear coat and/or to stick those tiny delicate stuff ?

    • Yes, use it a lot here. I’ve just got to be careful NOT to over-use it!

    • Im still learning to use it had a heck of a time cleaning my airbrush after use

    • Is it true that to make it a flat coat you have to add tamiya flat base or something?
What is the proper ratio for this?

    • I use it quite often. Found that it’s cheap, easy to use, easy to clean and gives excelent results. Of course there’s no Future (pun not intended but may well apply) here where I live but wherever there’s no such called chemical, there’s it’s clon or it’s substitute. Johnson & Johnson company makes those but you’d need to test those floor waxes yourself. I may have a link somwehere, will try to dig for it later on.

    • instead of blasting it through an airbrush (learn`t the hard way ) i end up using a paint brush , and paint the Future onto the model as a clear coat ..

    • r finishfloe in canada, it’s good old F3 (Future floor finish) was rebranded under the Pledge line. but oh yeah, I worship the stuff, and yes i always run it thru my AB, fact I have one brush that is dedicated to future. It’s a excellent product. BUT, I have found the new rebrand doesn’t take the same abuse as it used too. used it on a TF and in 2 spots i had to go over with and enamal gloss to deal with scrapping. But on gundams, Hell ya.
