I recently got back into collecting Gundam kits and got my hands on an old HG 1/100 Deathscythe H. I gave him a custom paint job that reflected a more deathly feel. Keeping it simple with black and a bone color scheme.
After assembling this one, I did notice how bad some of those joints really are. I didn’t want to get too adventurous with this one being how it was my first in a long time so I decided to stiffen the joints up using the superglue trick and it seems to be holding fairly well thus far. Many when I get a few more gundams under my belt (and hopefully some surplus gundams) I will experiment with the joint replacement.
Great job on the kit, one of my personal favorites! I still hold a special place for Gundam Wing since it was the first Gundam series that got me started. I unfortunately have only 3 kits for the Wing series but I plan to pick it back up soon with the new Wing Zero due this October. Can’t Wait!
Thank you for the comment. I too was started with Gundam Wing. When I was younger, I was fortunate that the local k-mart was carrying the kits but I could only afford one and deathscythe was my choice. 20 years later I found him again. I am very excited about the new Wing Zero coming out in October and plan to do all I can to get my hands on that one as well.

Very nicely painted! I have one sitting in a box somewhere, but yours blows it out of the water.
Thank you for the comment. I’ve been out of the game for a few (20) years and wanted to see if I could still do it.
Ever thought of changing the joints on the kit? I’ve seen some YouTube videos on how to do it, especially since the 90s kits have terrible joints. :/
