Instead of making multiple displays with the 7 Machine Nest sets I have, I decided to make one large background for my eventual Zero Vs. Epyon display.
I hear ya, I picked up a couple of 1/144s to practice on before getting in to more detail on the expensive 1/100s. I can’t wait to add Proto Zero to display with my Epyon kit, it’ll look killer!
This was my first ever HG….I think I might hold on to Wing until I feel I’m better. I want to try painting and filling in seem lines too. Likely go to a local hobby store and see if there’s something there I can practice more on. Gundam Wing was what got me into the whole Gundam Series, like most, so any Wing model will likely get all my skills into it.
I forgot about the marker. You could try that, or possibly a very very light dry brushing of chrome paint. I haven’t had the chance to deal with this issue myself, so I’m curious to know what you decide to do and how it turns out. Good luck.
A nice rainy day makes me want to put a gundam model together. Unfortunately I don’t have one to build, and even if I did, I have to go to work anyway. :/
