    I had a good weekend, I finished my Turn X!! 😀

    turn x
    • Cool kit for its odd design

      • Syd Mead from Blade Runner, Aliens and Tron designed it, so it’s a legend in its own right.

You have to be careful tho the legs are very asymmetrical. I learned that the hard way!

    • We can always dream! I’m hoping Turn A gets some love from Gundam Battle Fighters in October.

    • love the Turn A gundams, Nice Job

      • Thank you. Turn A is getting a lot of love from fans atm but none from BanDai. 🙁
I think I’ll do my three SUMOs next. I’ll post pictures when I’m done.

    • Agreed on that one! Especially this guy!

    • How did you like the overall build of this guy?

      • I really like him!!! Next to no bad seam lines thanks to the asymmetrical design. It only needed masking in the inner shoulders (that’s more than I can say for the Turn A Gundam.) Articulation is satisfactory for the time but the feet are great! Balance is no problem. The panel lines are deep, even the shallow ones. It’s very detailed and perfectly captures the anime. No transformation tho.
For the price it’s definite must buy. 7/10.

        • Screw it, 8/10. It’s better than a lot of modern 1/144 kits *looks at Age 1 Normal and sighs*

        • Especially nice price compared to for how much they go while being labeled as “discontinued”. Another reason to doubt that label because nothing seems to be “discontinued” forever. But in general, yeah, I strongly agree with you! It’s an amazing little kit of an amazingly designed suit from one of the more odd part of Gundam universe. Now IF they’d only make this one as an MG I’d wag my tail for a year…

          • I doubt Bandai will make a Master Grade that they can’t repacking as 10 different models. So man kits share runners they can’t be called original. How many Strike and Unicorn variants are there now? I’ve lost count. Because of this I’ve kind lost interest in Master Grades but a well thought out HGUC (CC) would be amazing.

            • I’m pretty much on a same wagon when it comes to Exia, having a million and one incarnation. But yea, having a HG might come nice to. With the new Buider series this just might come to life. However, Turn A/X were both a bit over the top in their own series when it comes to power so I’m not that sure we’ll see them at all in the new series. But that Sumo does look sweet. We’ll probably see another Sumo by the end of the spring next year. Though I doubt it’ll be plated.

              • There will probably a limited Special Edition one gold plate one at a hobby show! Gundam X is getting some love so I hope we see a HGAW 1/144 Leopard. The NG of the was awful and I still haven’t built the 1/100 although I have it. Going back to Master Grades, the only MGs I want to see are transformable Virsago and Ashtraron.

                • I think I’ve read it somewhere that an MG Heavyarms couldn’t come even close to a 1/100 Leopard design wise. You might just give it a shot one of these days. 🙂 The X series had it’s gems, I’ll give you that though I didin’t quite enjoyed it that much as I’ve thought I will. Maybe because it seemed rushed as I’ve heard it got cut short for some reason. But the Chestbreak Ashtaron kit is one of the strangest out there, standing shoulder to shoulder with Turn X. And if it’s strange, I like it. 🙂

                  • Chestbreak Virsago not Ashtraron. I have the 1/144 but I still trying to decide what I am going to do with it. I think by 1996 people were Gundamed out. There had been a lot of mech anime in the mid 90s and I think people wanted something different. I think that’s why Gundam X struggled in the rating and got cut back and the franchise needed rebooting.

                    • There’s only so much one can remember from the vast Gundam universe. I remember one being a mobile suit/armor transformable while the other was more of a monster with a huge beam cannon in it’s chect. I’ll have to rewatch it again one of these days.

                      • It’s cool mate. Even i can’t remember all the weird and wonderful MS designs. Virsago was red and Ashtraron was purple. I bet if Hajime Katoki had designed them we’d already have MGs of them both.
