Here’s what’s been going on with my He 219. I intend on showing plenty of cutaway stuff and the fact that it’s a twin engine plane, lends itself well to this.

So, one of the DB 603 engines has been hacked apart (parts in red show portions that were removed) to display the inner workings. The other pic shows a standard engine next to the cutaway version. Also, the molded on plastic wiring for the spark plugs was removed and replaced with wire (before/ after).

As an aside, a (now deceased) friend of my father worked on restoring the He 219 at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center that Zoukei Mura (Volks) got their measurements from to make this kit. I’ve seen this plane in real life many times and look forward to its completion of restoration.
