Hi,
So I had lots of time to work over the weekend (wife and kid away 😉 )..
First after adding all the railing I sprayed a coat of gray primer.
Then I sprayed a couple of layers of Tamiya’s white, and finally a layer of Tamiya clear. This gives a thin protective layer, and will serve as a glossy base for the decals.
I love Tamiya’s clear, as it doesn’t turn the white into yellow like some other brands do.
Now for the difficult part.
I brush painted the decks in green, mixed from Games workshop acrylic colors anot green and goblin green. I had to put two and sometimes more layers, and then touch in white, and again in green. It is an iterative process, there are so many details, and whenever I take a look at the ship I find more places to correct and places I forgot to detail.I brush painted some details, and then added the declas. I used micro setand micro sol to fix the decals.
I prepared a railing sheet for all the railing bits that will be added after painting the decks, as it would be impossible to paint the decks after fixing the railing.
I used white spray can, as it holds very well to the PE.
I also took some a picture of the acrylic paints I’m using.
