Before i decided to prime, gloss black,silver and yellow coat my gold parts, I actually did some tests. I actually put the gold plated hand part into thinner and wanted to know how Bandai actually painted or made the plated parts. In a matter of seconds clear yellow was gone and you could see the silver. I waited a bit longer and thinner wouldn’t strip the silver. So i put the part into pure Dettol and chemical reactions started. The silver became not shiny. So i think a semi-gloss or maybe gloss coat was put on the silver. I took out an old Toothbrush and brushed the coat off and put the part back in Dettol. Silver paint then started to come off and became a black/dark blue plastic part. I realized i can’t fix nub/gate marks with ordinary gold paint. So i decided the strip off everything and re-paint it myself. This is a risk I decided to take and the end result probably won’t be as shiny compared to the original paint from Bandai. But we will see and I’ll keep posting ^__^
