Hi,
So working on this resin was very difficult, I figured it was the mold release agent but didn’t pay it much attention. Later, after I finished building the entire model, I found out that the mold release is based on silicon (read it in a forum post), and that they recommend using silicon remover to clea the resin.

That is great, becuase I plan to build more orange hobby kits. The kit was one of the most complex I’ve built to date, especially the little deck lights, but was very fun to do.

When done, I sprayed it with car primer, and now I’ll have to find some airbrushing time to paint the model.

Started working on the base as well, this time I’m using acrylic gel which is called water effects from woodlan scenics.

In addition I recieved the white ensign models apaches and lynx, which are small kits in their own right, and I’ll build them latter on.
