I am going to do a custom paint job on my RG Destiny Gundam and want to spray paint the inner frame gold. Since this is such a small frame I was wondering if you guys had any pointers on achieving the best effect without possibly damaging the frame. Should I leave it on the runner or build it first?

I was going to do a far away spray, like hold the can as far away as possible from it but i am afraid of wasting a lot of paint. What do you guys think? Anyone try painting a RG frame?

  It’s fine to build just the frame before painting. I’ve airbrushed RG inner frames gun-metal or chrome so doing gold should work just fine.

  Yeah i just sprayed the inner part of the zaku champagne gold and the innter armor silver, i built the inner frame mounted it on an alligator tooth clip and skewer took the spray can around 15-20cm away and sprayed front, back and sides the result was perfect.
