It looks nice but is the paint work incomplete?
Actually it wasn’t I live currently in an area where temperature fluctuations are common and even though it was covered and dried the paint refused to set proper. So it chipped mid shooting.
Whats more is due to the financial difficulties I have been going through this entire competition I couldn’t afford to get a more stable paint for the insane weather patterns my home has been experiencing this past month. I’m sure your paints would have setting troubles too if it went from 60 degrees one day down to 34 within a few hours. then shoot back up to 54. I’m lucky the enamel spray set as well as it did honestly.
Thats Fahrenheit temperature obviously. If I enter into the next years one (which I’ll be coming up with a new concept obviously) I’ll try to get the kits before the beginning of the competition and see if I can put together a more paint friendly area. My home is infamous for its humidity to boot and anyone who knows about enamel sprays knows how rough humidity can be on the setting of the paint.
ah I see definately need a more paint friendly area, love your kit bash tho especially the transformation 😀 it looks very damn nice when transformed.
could try a dehumidfier to help control the room enviroment
I am considering that, I figure this competition is gonna happen again next year and I should be in a place where I can have a finely controlled painting environment. Perhaps a painter’s box. I’m glad people are enjoying the build though, I am planning a remake of this build later on to put it in “HLJ” colors as a nice nod to the wonderful Syd and Ryan. But next year I’m doing something more A.D. than U.C. Perhaps something along making something twin drive thats transformable? A mesh of Harute and Quanta? Or even Harute and vanilla OO Raiser.
