Finally finished the chest of the Anubis.
Wow, that looks awesome. Did you use a wash for the lower abdomen?
No I didn’t just straight painted it.
Oh, interesting. Then how did you get that weathered look on the beige parts?
That’s just a layering multiple shades of paint on top of one another.
That came out pretty good, almost looks like pre-shade, that is a neat trick I picked up from plenty a power sword from Warhammer 40K figures.
Great work it seems to me that you hand brush it right? Or did you use an airbrush?
I have this one to do to. I just thought of painting the gold that I didn’t like the dull and semi gloss color with Tamiya X-31 Titanium Gold, leave the rest untouched except of course the red panel lines and finally a gloss top coat like I did with two other Zoe kits.
But I wanted to know a thing: is there a lot of seam lines to remove on this one and on what colors? If there are too many or in too visible sections I maybe consider to paint the whole kit.
It’s all handbrushed. There are seams but nothing super obvious if you just sand them down. Majority of the seams you will run into are on the wings.
Very nice work indeed. I like the shading effect.
