I got a little more work done on the Tieren Space Commander Type. I saw this graphite rubbing technique on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdfICHNAl9U. I didn’t have that brand of graphite powder. I went down to my hardware store and bought AGS Graphite Lubricant for about 3 U.S. dollars. I painted the parts black and used cotton swabs and balls to buff the graphite powder into the parts. I definitely recommend laying down some old newspapers on your work surface and wearing a dust mask because this powder gets everywhere. Here are my results:
