Beginner Modeler – Modeling Competition 2013. 9 years, 6 months ago W.I.P 5# MG Strike Freedom, sorry is been so long guys, been really busy with school and work, sixth form is really packed! Anyways I have finished of the strike freedoms wings, so it’s basically finished just need the top coat the wings and weapons and I will be completely finished and will post the final update!
The details: I have hand painted gold detail on the dragoons and have hand painted the gold on the wings inner frame to make it shinny, I feel this looks a lot better.
The photos are quite dark because it’s night time at the moment and I haven’t been able to set up my photo booth, but I will for the final pictures. I also drew a pen drawing of the strike freedom and Kira and lacus for the layer under the kit.

Looks really good. I agree, the gold really helps it pop. So what do you use for your top coat? Do you spray it all put together or do you like the arms and everything separate? I have yet to do a top coat on any of my kits and want to try to see how it works/looks when done.
Thanks a lot! I use Tamiya Flat Clear top coat and i spray everything in separate pieces, i still need to top coat the wings and weapons… but i have done the rest of the MS, i dont have an airbrush so i just go straight from the can, i then spry thin layers on, never at once or to thick because it will drip and go frosty. Hope that helps
That’s top notch. I don’t have an airbrush either, but I hear it’s very useful. What photo booth did you get?
