    • Your problem might be not having a primer. Primer will help create a bond between the plastic and the paint.

      • Also usually you have to wash them first to take off the lube they use in the molds. Sanding is also optional so paint would have something to cling to if you don’t have a primer.

        • So I have to sanding the part I want to paint than use the spray color without primer? And to wash it do I have to use warm or cold water?

          • Use a primer if you’re hand painting. It saves on how many coats you will do. It’s counter intuitive I know but that’s how it works. Spray paints can cling on plastic without sanding or primer without problems.

You could use either warm or cold water without problems as long as it has suds. Use dishwashing liquid if you want.

      • So the primer is important to use when use the spray color?

        • Primer is important to go on before any colors, or it won’t stay on there for long, I think the only time primer isn’t a big deal is with metallic sprays, and paints (although I still put primer down).
