Not really gunpla related but just a general question.
I’ve watched most gundam series from gundam wing till now and never really tried any of the older series. So I thought I might give the original mobile suit gundam a try. Are there any other older gundam series that I should definitely give a try? Since I can’t buy a lot of gunpla I compensate by watching Most of the series I’ve seen over and over again xd

Ive watched the older series and i personally like them, the animation cool, and its always good to watch what started it off! I personally like the seed and seed destiny the most, mainly because of the Mobile Suits. Question, do you watch the series’s by buying them or through tv or on the internet?
A lot of people recommend me to watch zeta gundam. My favorite is 00. I did like seed but destiny not so much but still great mobile suit designs in both. I mainly watch them on the internet, when I was a little kid like 10 years ago gundam wing used to air on tv but that’s the only gundam show that ever aired in my country sadly enough. I’m planning the get the dvd’s from 00 but it’s not easy to find anything gundam related in my country unless there is an anime/comic convention and it’s pretty expensive there.

& as long as you remember the animation IS from the eairly 80’s, then yes go and watchALL of UC gundam. while they jump around, it’s all one continuity and stuff that happened in “chars counterattack” reverb’s forward into zeta etc

Well I’ve started with the original MSG and the animation is actually better then I expected.
You can’t watch Zeta without watching 0079 because you wouldn’t have a clue on earth who Char is. That’s the thing with UC anime. It’s best to start from the beginning and go from there. The best refference I had for watching all of it was the wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gundam here. In the middle of the page there’s a list of the stuff that came out that you can follow. Pleasant watching! 🙂 Oh and by the way, good guys of teh interweb gave us torrents for a reason. 🙂

thanks, just made my point, it’s all so intertwined (was also 10 yrs ago i watch ’79 thru) that it’s hard to keep track what’s set where after awhile.
The thing I love the most is when they mix and intertwine (used that word again, sorry. :P) everything like they did with the Unicorn. I enjoyed seeing Bright Noa so much while watching Unicorn for the first time! Audrey/Mineva too. Also I like the obvious nod to Amuro when Bright was looking at his photo in his cabin of the Nahel Argama…
Oh areed totally, it gives a cohession & depth to the UC timeline. the fact they mostly not made any larfge continuity issues is amazing. god the size of that series bible must be 🙂
I’me clueless about the airing of the next episode though. Herad they’re going to skip the september one and air it in march of the next year. Which is a long wait considering we got the last one around march of this year. And then there’s the Origin coming out between 2014 and 2015 which, apart the fact that it’s going to have something to do with the 0079, is still a mystery to me. And I didn’t want to do any research because I don’t want to ruin the excitement and joy of watching it.
yeah we still have to wait a long time for the next episode but it will be 90minutes long 🙂 and we still got origin coming out and gundam build fighters. don’t know what to think of build fighters yet, but I love that they are going to release a whole lot more kits from now on 🙂 I’m excited for the HG Wing and DX. and I also like the desing for the wing gundam fenice.
Didn’t know about the next episode being 90 minutes. I guess they want to end it all with a bang. I wonder if they’re going to include that new phoenix Unicorn there too. 🙂

At the very least I’ve learned something new. But the golden/yellow Unicorn is still something I didn’t expect. Speaking of something I didn’t expect, there’s one more thing I didn’t expect. The return of a blue frame MG Banshee at genteikits.com. But the price is… Too damn high!
