the movie is getting great reviews in japan afaik, even hideo kojima had great praise for it, that doesn’t mean kits are a sure thing but it helps, i hope the release some too
They’d need to buy off the rights first. Somehow, I doubt it’ll happen. There’s just one suit there with a bunch of rock-like monsters. There’s an action figure to buy. Would have to give an arm and a leg to get that one but it does look amazing. With LEDs all over the place and moving arms and legs and stuff like that. 😀
In my opinion, I think Bandai wont make a model kit of one of the mobile suit in the Pacific Rim. Maybe one reason is considering the scale. If you have seen the movie poster, it seems like the MS is much bigger than a gundam. Probablyit will fall under the Hot Toys line and surely not from Bandai.
We did ask Bandai about Pacific Rim kits, but they don’t have any plans to release kits at this time. NECA does have an action figure coming http://www.hlj.com/product/NEC35535/Act
