Turns out my shield holder snapped because the polycap in the shield got painted and it gripped the peg extremely hard until it snapped. Had to drill a small hole into it and use a metal rod to join both pieces. I think its got enough cement/putty/metal for it to hold on.

I am mostly done with painting, now all that’s left is to go over it with a wash for the panel lines and other recessed spots, very minor weathering and finally a few decals (only like 6 or 7, not a fan of kits with too many decals). I also have to paint the 2 ammo clips that go on the shield. Sorta forgot about them. >_<

Once that's done I will clear coat and set up for some final pictures.

This has been a great experience. When this whole thing started I had one goal in mind and I am glad to say that I have almost reached it. I wanted to expand my horizons when it came to building and get out of my comfort zone. For the most part all of my other 8 kits have been straight builds with panel lining. I really wanted to customize, paint, scribe, weather and decal my entry to get out of that comfort zone.

Can't say its perfect but I am glad I jumped off the deep end. The amount of Gunpla related channels I have subscribed to in youtube these past months has multiplied exponentially. None of this would've been possible if it weren't for all the tutorials out there to teach a total beginner. Thanks to people like Vegeta8259, Modelmaking Guru and OrcPainterNerd for providing the knowledge on how to do many of the things I did with this kit. I would also like to thank HLJ for the opportunity. This contest was the spark to light the fire under my builder ass.
