I’ve always liked desert camo. I thought it would look good on the Mark II. I also just wanted a Gundam model that wasn’t so brightly colored, but a little more muted.
It’s a great idea IMHO! Had to look at it a few times, and I have to say, it looks better and better the more I look at it. It’s also a very original color scheme.
If I may, it’s like a fine wine, you have to acquire a taste for it, but once you do, you’ll appreciate it more and more over time!
