Valkylander Unboxing

SDBD:R Valkylander

The Valkylander is the design that’s had several of us at the office scratching our heads since it was revealed. It looks a little more like a Digimon than a Gundam, but we’ll take it.

The first SD kit from the new Build Divers series, this little guy packs a lot more of a punch than your typical SD!

…and this is why. You can build the kit in Dragon Fusion mode, which is more like the typical SD kit with some wings and horns, or the Gundragon Mode (I love this name), which is, you guessed it — a dragon.

Plus the Fusion Mode has accessories like a “Gunsword” and “Gunshield.” This design is so wonderfully over the top.

Why stop there when you can build the GN Mega Flare Device that basically looks like the Gundragon’s tail attached at the arm? And it’s a gun? How extra is this kit?

Finally, here’s a front and rear view of the kit and a brief explanation about it from the source material.

Nice ponytail.

…and tons of polycaps for and SD, and sticker hell!

A word to the wise? Get your Gundam markers ready because these stickers are just not going to be worth it.

Level 75 Marketing Mage. Editor, admin, and occasional code monkey. Stand User in her free time. Though she does build kits when time allows, time doesn't allow often. Her favorite lines are Hasegawa's Mechatro WeGo line, Meng's World War Toons Pinky line, and weird miscellany like Platz's bonsai tree kits. In general, if it's a detailed miniature that's too small to be useful for anything other than taking up space, she'll probably love it.
