Toy Tengoku – Episode 33 – Fewture EX Gokin G-1 – Yamato SIF EX Kneesocks

On this episode with Robin and Ardith, Gatchamania continues with an up-close look at Fewture’s EX Gokin G-1 Repaint Version, and Yamato’s spectacular figure of ever-nasty Kneesocks is unboxed! Plus, Ardith sings the theme songs of Gatchaman, Macross and more… on stage!

  1. Wow, Ardith, you’ve got some great pipes! Loved the medley of songs from animes that were celebrating significant anniversaries. Interesting that you should sing the song from Sailor Moon, as that series 20th anniversary was celebrated at this year’s Anime Revolution convention here in Vancouver, with several of the English dub voice actors attending.

Yes…Yamato’s Knee Socks…”hot” is definitely the word! ‘nough said. 🙂

Lots of neat background information from Gatchaman and some of the other series that were mentioned (another reason I like watching TT). Cowboy Bebop will always be one of my favourites, though admittedly I place it second behind Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex as a series. Just a little under six more years and we’ll be celebrating CB’s 20th anniversary.

I’m glad to learn that Ardith liked the new 009 RE: CYBORG movie that’s just come out. I’ve been following the project since it was first announced, especially knowing potentially how good of a movie it could be with Kenji Kamiyama, Production I.G., and Kenji Kawai being involved. I’ve been really impressed with the promo trailers I’ve seen and I’m eagerly awaiting it’s arrival to the Canadian/U.S. markets. The fact that it has intense emotional elements within it is even that much more appealing. I’m very much looking forward to seeing it.

    Great episode, folks.
