When you crack open the box, the colors leap right out. But not out of this world by any means.

It doesn’t seem too complicated to build, as you can see from all the real estate around the steps.

It’s hard to make out, but the prepainted face and chest part comes in separate bags.

Some final thoughts. This kit is definitely what fans had been waiting for, as you can never get enough Shin Getter-1. There are some action figures by different companies, but these often come across as either too small or too pricy. So this kit seems to hit that sweet spot in terms of size and price. As the first kit of a new line, of course the main concern will be the quality. Will it stay together? Can we pull off the cool poses from the anime? Will a lot of work be need to make it look shelf ready? Let’s find out in Part 2!
