– Born in Niigata, Japan, in 1958.
– Raised in Tokyo and Saitama.
Tatsuya got started building models with the Sankyo “Peanuts” series of aircraft kits in his early elementary school days, developing a deep passion for building models and dioramas that continues to this day. He made his debut as a pro modeler in 1977 when he joined the staff of modeling magazine “Hobby Japan”. In the thirty years since then, Tatsuya has gone on to establish himself as a major player in the Japanese modeling scene, creating an amazing amount of stunning visionary works, focusing mainly on military subjects, but also featuring aircraft and character modeling as well.
