@woodfish Did you see the Mahiroo in this episode? The odds for a HG Turn A line are getting better every week!

@woodfish Long time no talk! How’s your build[s] going? 😀

    • Dear sir, the time it took me to (nearly) complete the The-O was a “bit” longer than I have anticipated. During the build we’ve managed to complete this http://www2.gpmd.com/imagel/r/lrvls7097.jpg (not my photo and neither are the following ones) and are working towards completing this http://img1.imagilive.com/1209/F2007-005.JPG and this…[Read more]

      • By we I mean my girlfriend and myself as we do F1 kits together. It’s her thing but I’m giving a helping hand in painting and decaling when she’s stuck.

        • Wow, those are absolute beauties! 😀 I know what you mean about ordering thinner. I always seem to run out when I need it the most.

My girlfriend is more partial to fighter planes, but we occasionally build small robots (like the Danball Senki ones). 🙂

As for updates, I’ve been working on-and-off on the X-2. I’m not so sure about doing the…[Read more]

          • If I understand correctly, X2 and al of the Crossbone GunPla in general are about the same suze as the Victory/F91 Gundams so I’d say that the 3.0 hands would be too large for it. Some say they are too large for the 3.0 itself but you can give it a go, see how it fits. Ad for the fighter planes, her brother’s into them. 😀 I even offered to help…[Read more]

            • Sorry for the wrong letters, my keyboard’s keys are missing the printed ones so I tend to miss a few now and then.

              • It’s all right. 🙂 I was thinking of making the 3.0 hands smaller, but’s a lot of unnecessary work that would probably diminish the usefulness of their design. Just for kicks, I put sticky putty in to connect the 3.0 joint to the hand and well…it looks terrible. 😛

Planes are so hard to start! They’re the sort of project I usually put off,…[Read more]

                • I wish… All we have are non-brand automotive/painting/tool washing kind. The heavy duty stuff. Model builders in our country are roughly measured by around 1 per mil compared to “normal people”. Sadly enough, when a few years back my girlfriend was asked what she does in her spare time almost everyone repeated “Modelling?”. We live in a world…[Read more]

                  • Aww man. :/ Well, think of it this way: model-building isn’t as looked down upon as collecting action figures in most societies. People are more impressed by something you can build, rather than something you can simply buy in its finished form.

Also, I haven’t been sold on the lacquer paints either. I’m an avid user of enamel paints, since they…[Read more]

I sure will @woodfish. That release crept under the radar cos of the Geara Doga lol

    • I knew it was coming and I knew it was going to be august. What cought me by surprise is that august just started. These releases tend to happen near the end of the month. And yet, here he is. 🙂 Should be a huge one, close to Messala.

@woodfish, those Tees fly off the shelves real fast, man! Usually the L and XL goes damn fast! This black X-20A was the last piece cos after I ordered the status changed to Out of Stock! LOL…

    • “Low Stock” pretty much means there’s one left. 🙂 A few times before I’ve bought the last thing from the “Low Stock” so I’m almost sure about that. Not sure how many Tees they get per batch though. Might be 10 each, might be more. So the best thing is to chuck it in your basket and finish your purchase. That’s a safe way you’ll get yours once it…[Read more]

@woodfish, oh abt those t-shirts from Cospa, the quality and print is excellent! It’s not those heat transfer prints that drop off after a few washes. These are good quality cotton tees with screen printing. Worth the money definitely. Always wanted to get me that Sinanju shirt. 🙂 Though some of them are more cool than that one.

Like an isle of them just for you. xD Now, if all that stuff came to stock in a day while you’re away from home for a vacation for a week, you’d be in some serious trouble. 😀 now, what’s the quality of those shirts? • I’ll buy it for sure my friend! 🙂

      • I might as well drag a few friends down with me lol!

        • The 2.0 was a bit old when I was thinking of buying it and I kind of thought that we’ll have a new one soon. Good thing I waited. 🙂

          • I didn’t get the 2.0 cos the RX78-2 is not really one of my favs… maybe cos i like the sleek type of Gundams like 00, Exia, Red Frame etc… Dun quite like the blocky style of the 80s. But being an obsessed collector, I do have many RX-78-2s just not two of the same size. This 3.0 will be the exception.

            • Agreed @philliptan. The RX-78-2 is not one of my favorites either, though that extra weapons pack makes it so much better. I’ll be getting them both, especially after seeing it is similar to the RG, which I can put off on getting for now.

    • Lol. I’m yet to complete my RG Freedom. I’ll say, maybe.

    • Lol no!!! I was actually trying to talk my wife into getting it. I’m not one to build MG kits, but it appreciate the heads up on the video Phillip.

What do you think ofthis idea?

  • Cthulhu posted a new activity comment 9 years, 7 months ago

@woodfish That saddens me a little cause I bought my MG Unicorn and wanted to play around with it after painting.

    • It’s not “unplayable” per se. You’ll just have to take that chance it might get damaged in the process. I guess it comes down how thick your layers get. And if you don’t mind fixing a scratch or two even better. 🙂 To me, once a model is done, assembled and painted, it goes on a shelf and stands there in some neat pose and that’s it. Pretty much…[Read more]

@philliptan & @woodfish Sucks to hear that for the MG Unicorn. Either of you build the Version Ka Full Armor? And if so did it have those same problems (before putting all those weapons on)?

    • My FA Unicorn still sitting in the box…

      • I’d say maybe after your RG Strike Rouge but going from all those stickers to a ver. Ka may drive somebody a bit crazy. Lol! Well I better start saving now as I want the MG Strike Freedom Full Burst mode and the FA Unicorn once I get a few MGs under my belt.

        • Yes, no pls! Stickers can be a chore! These days I try to ease the problem by applying stickers once I finish a part instead of doing it only when i complete the model… it helps that way lol… Hmm… after the RG Strike Rouge I’ll put the next build up for vote!

          • Sadly I lost 2 or 3 stickers on my RG Zaku II barely breathing on them when trying to put them on. I noticed they love to fly off the sticker sheet when you try to take off with a hobby knife too, thankfully I saved all of those.

Luckily only 1 of them is noticeable as it is a front chest sticker, but posing I think might mask that. Now if just…[Read more]

          • On an MG Full Armor Unicorn, application of stickers after you finish a part is the only way to go because, when you’re done, the weapons and all you won’t be able to come close to the kit due to so much stuff attached to it. I’ll take a few photos of mine once. To me, a Unicorn is a super good looking suit that’s designed well with no parts…[Read more]

    @woodfish I final got my Turn X!

    • Awesome! It’s a strange build of a strange sit. 😀 For how much did it slap your wallet?

      • See for yourself: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Anime-Turn-A-Gundam-1-144-Scale-Concept-X-6-1-2-Turn-X-Model-Kit-Bandai-Japan-/251302939861?ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:GB:3160

A bit expensive but it is a holy grail kit for me.

tvmaniajapan2010 is a great guy, I got most of my Turn A models from him and he has them all in stock.

        • Well, free shipping makes up for it’s steep price, just a bit. I bought my Sumo from that guy too. Some other random stuff also. he updates a lot. 😀 Daily. Sometimes twice or three times per day. Can’t imagine having all that stuff just sitting somewhere. 🙂 Have you started it yet?

          • Only bought it yesterday, he shipped it today so I will have it in a few days. I just put a coat of primer on my M9 Gernback. I did post a WIP video on my YT channel.

            • There’s a “Facepalm Gundam” situation right there! I was decaling my Qubeley the whole day so I’m a bit off. Cool, I’ll check it out. 🙂

              • That’s ok mate. It was my fault for not explaining properly.

I hope you enjoy the video.

I hope you enjoy the video.

                • Bah. I’m having an ebay spree these days. Since we just got access to paypal, and ebay together with it, I’m having a nervous breakdown every time I see something ridiculously cheap and not having enough money on my card to buy it. “Ending in 16 hours. Monday bank opening time 18 hours away!” I get that a lot lately. 😀

                  • The Ebay addiction, I remember it well. I shut myself off to the internet to get over it. I hope you get nicer stuff that me!

                    • I’m aiming to complete my V Gundam line next. Those little NG 1/144 scales are amazing! Had so much fun painting a Zoloat. Did a decent at it too. 🙂

                      • I haven’t seen V Gundam. Once I get my eye fixed and I can do subtitles I’ll watch it. Have you posted any pictures?

                        • It’s a bit dry with people dying all over the place. Tomino was going through a huge depression while making this anime. It’s not something I’d recommend but if you watched all of it might as well watch this one too. 🙂

    • looks almost zoid like

      • The complete kit doesn’t look all that much like Gunpla either. It’s one of those stranger designs. But I like it oh-so-much! Could do with a bit more details on those binders though… SMS resin kit of this guy took that another level of the binders details and took them on another level and then +1’d it by another level of another level……[Read more]
