I understand the “armor pieces fitting on a human being” reasoning, but the different armor parts would most probably be separated along the panel lines and not right in the middle of a piece of armor like the kit. The way I see it, leaving the seam lines as they are just makes the kit look unfinished.

Didn’t you show your WIPs for this kit here and on YT before the contest was announced? You should probably check with the organizers about the eligibility of entering this build.
Not really as that was a demo of me having a go at fitting the metal parts to a kit. It would be relevant to anyone wishing to fit these type of parts to their gundam project. Plus I’ve messaged Ryan for some clarification on the subject.
