I think it’s similar, although I’m not totally sure either. I think the regular MG is definitely better than the Ver. Ka., at least from what I’ve heard. Have you built the HD Color Ver. + MS Cage yet? If you have, any issues?

Beginner Modeler – Modeling Competition 2013. 7 years, 3 months agoJust finished the initial build of the 1/100 MG Gundam Unicorn Ver. Ka. Broke a joining piece in the head and one in the right front skirt. 🙁 I glued the skirt one but not the head.
I’m going to test a transformation (hopefully without breaking these pieces) but I’m a little unsure of the order I plan on taking for the rest of the build.

It was an issue I heard from others that the plastic that was made for the unicorn ver ka was brittle. but I haven’t confirmed that yet as I dont have the ver ka. What I have is the HD Color Ver. + MS Cage

Since you said this, I’ve been reading online about a lot of other people who say it’s a really fiddly kit with lots of tiny parts (ok, I could kind of tell that from looking at the runners!). I’m actually considering changing my order of building although I’ve already done a basic snap-together of the torso – I was planning on pulling most of the…[Read more]

No problem! Be careful of the split horn as well. The tip is very flimsy. I broke mine off by accident T_T

I love the FA UC Ver. Ka! I really want to build it sometime in the future (when I have more experience!), I guess you could say that this is a ‘test fit’ :p

I was lucky enough to get this for a great price from someone on the Gundam Australia Forums who was selling off old kits. I had no idea it was so scarce!

Beginner Modeler – Modeling Competition 2013. 7 years, 4 months agoMy 3rd (hopefully!) finished kit is going to be the 1/100 MG Unicorn Ver. Ka, also my very first MG. Looks intense, but also really awesome. That manual is pretty thick!
