MG Destiny Gundam Ver. OB, Custom Repaint Build in RG colour scheme. I have now finished this build completely… i am very very pleased about the outcome of this build as it is my first ever completely fully custom, fully painted build. I have repainted the whole gundam in the original colour scheme, but in the two tone RG style. I panel scribed all my own lines to separate, what were bland plain panels. I then used both dry transfers and waterslide decals and finished with a flat matt coat to give it the realistic effect. I didn’t have any major issues with the build, only a couple of minor ones with some of the decals breaking or coming off, but i managed to fix them and cover up some of the issues with the top coat. I hope you guys like it, and i would love any feedback a it is my first ever fully custom build. I know that this is a love hate MS design, but i happen to love it and i feel very proud of it.
P.S sorry about all the photos, got a little carried away 🙂
P.P.S – i painted it completely using tamiya spray cans, and mixed my own blue and blended them together with different layers of spraying ( as it was the only way i could get the blue i wanted for the kit, and i didn’t know how else to do it with spray cans). For the armour I used tamiya brilliant blue and tamiys blue violet to make the final colour. For the red i used tamiya bright red, for the yellow i used tamiya chrome yellow, for the grey i used tamiya light grey, for the off white i used tamiya insignia white, for the light blue i used tamiya pale blue, and for the green i used olive green. For the inner frame i used tamiya gun metal and tamiya aluminum.
hottest destiny ive seen so far u my friend have done it right and perfect
That looks really great! Excellent job! Love the colors, the extra panel lining and the detail painting. Sorry to hear (actually read.. LOL) you’vr had some issues with the build. But rest assure, I’m having tons of issues with it. Paint cracking, gloss coat frosting out, chrome turn silver…. So I didn’t got as far with it as I hoped… Seems the Destiny gives us a run for our money 😉 But yours turned out very nice! Congratulations on a beautiful build
Looks pretty good I really like the extra panel lines and the gray you added to break up the color very nice job especially since its your first custom I’ve got the extreme blast destiny sitting in the box on my self waiting on me to build it ,I’m waiting on my waterslides I ordered for it and to finish my wing kit and then I going for it I’m going to do light blues and gray over the dark blues and red and get rid of the black wings for white or light gray
