@drAInbAmAgE thank you for your help, i will get gloss coat for the waterslides and then probably a flat final top coat, although im undecided at the moment, however could i ask you what brand of topcoat you use? e.g. Mr Hobby or Tamiya? and also how many cans of top coat you think i would need? sorry if im being a pain i just want to get it right 🙂

Great build whatever mistakes youve made i cant see them, it looks good! Can i just ask what top coat did you use? is it a fat top coat on top of a gloss topcoat that im asumming you applied before decaling?

i think its the full burst version, looking at the shinny gold areas, the extra finish is silver.

gloss coat ur model then add decals then do whtever coat u want to afterwards

Yeah, you might get silvering (caused by air behind the water slide) of the water slides if you choose not to topcoat first. I made the mistake of not coating my RG RX-78-2 and some of the water slides slivered on me.

@Nick, if it were up to me I would have all the see destiny kits in MG! It does make me wonder why bandai never made the blast impulse… It doesn’t make sense why only make to put of the three!?

dont worry about it im gunna bet itll come out as a premium release just to piss us all off like the destiny impulse kinda expected it could be premium but also upsetting becasue it comes out now

I don’t really mind the MSV kits that never showed up in the shows (Astray variants), straightup recolors (Rezin’s Geara Doga) or kit bashes (Destiny Impulse) being P-Bandai as it’s pretty easy to kit bash or paint yourself.
But then the are ones like the Banshee Norn, Neo Zeong Psycho Shard and Hi-Nu weapons pack which really should come out in…[Read more]

Q/A & Help Group 9 years, 8 months agoHi Guys, I’m looking to apply both Waterslide and dry transfer decals onto my painted MG Destiny build once I have finished painting it that is. I just wanted to know of there’s any specific way to get the best finishes or with out error… e.g. Applying clear coats? And is so gloss or flat first etc? If anyone can help it would be much appreciated

Aha Thanks Again 🙂 I am really happy with this English weather it’s rant that I can just crack on with painting the kit! I planned to follow the original colour scheme of the Destiny as close as possible so I’m grateful that you send the colours were spot on. Look really nice! The finish looks great… For the clear coat are you going to apply a gloss coat before the decals? And then a flat coat after?

Master Grade Discussion 9 years, 8 months agoSince this year is the tenth anniversary of Seed Destiny (please tell me if I’m wrong), but because of that I wish that we could get a MG Legend or MG Akatsuki… I just feel that it’s only right as they did it with the seed kits. Anyone else agree?

@Ryu Shiro i agree! i wouldn’t mind a 2.0 Freedom and Destiny as i think that those kits are a little plain now… thats why at the moment i am re painting and detailing my MG Destiny in the style of the the RG Destiny and i think it just looks so much better than being plain. Plus i really would like the Legend and Ataksuki, plus the Justice!…[Read more]

great job! i was planning on doing the same 2-tone RG style with my MGs. not very fond of the mostly white color schemes. good to see it will look and work great with the MGs as well 🙂

Again, awesome paint job. Looks really great. Very nicely done, the two tones on one piece of armor. A very good masking job I have to say.
Also like your color choice, but the color choice for the V fin is spot on!
Now I’m so curious on the selected blue color…..

Looks really great! Love the gold patches on the underside of the feet. It beaks the large silver surface. Hope you don’t mind me copying it somewhat on my MG Destiny…?
Got the Mr Color paints in today, now waiting on the airbrush from HLJ to arrive. The finally I can begin on mine and share some pictures with you.

MG Destiny Inner Frame WIP#3 I have finished the legs and backpack frames now and used Tamiya spray cans gunmetal and aluminium and detail with gold and silver markers. I have also finished the feet frames and shown some priming progress picsThanks Guys

Started progress on my MG Destiny, I have began painting the inner frame, I have used TS-38 Gun Metal for the main chest section and TS-17 Gloss Aluminium for the shoulder mechanism. I also hand painted the miniature Shin Asuka.
More development pics will keep coming!-
