I recently discovered Frame Arms Girls, and so I wanted to build one for my entry here. I haven’t built a model in years, and I’ve never painted one, but I figured this competition is as good of an excuse as any to get my feet… er, fingers wet with some things I’ve never tried before. Plus, the whole line got a re-release recently, so this’ll be the first of many.
My submission to the intermediate category is Frame Arms Girl Gourai Type 10. Her color scheme is modeled after the JGSDF Type 10 tank, but the asymmetry of her army kind of bothers me, so I decided I want to give her a real Type 10 paint job.
I’ll be using Tamiya’s JGSDF colors for the main armor, silver and some clear colors for her tiny sensors, Mr. Color’s Silver spray for her cannon (which I’ll paint over afterward with the acrylic JGSDF colors), some cement to seam weld her thighs, Mr. Masking Sol Neo to make the camo pattern, and a nice matte topcoat.
…Although maybe I should get some semi-gloss topcoat for her armor.
I won’t be painting her skin or any of the black parts, aside from the grey details on her torso and skirt.
