Prototyping. I sometimes do a lot of prototyping before I am content with how a part looks like. Here, I create another version of a bird-type wing mechanism that folds in and out, mimicking a bird’s as closely as possible, and has multiple points of articulation and rotation. Previously, I posted the backpack swivel mounts, where the wing joints attach to. The wing/backpack would be light enough for polycaps to hold them in position as the wings are spread up and out.
This is probably the simplest design I’ve made for wings, yet the most flexible in articulation, that I can actually twist and turn the joints to almost any angle and form.
The next update won’t be for a while. Will be working on another “work” project first.
