• Finally, Bandai has blessed us with their new pre-orders for February and March, and we are in for a real big pile of treats! We’ve got kits from Macross, L-Gaim, Digimon, Sakura Wars, and more! Plus, a new entry […]

    • Great lineup of things, absolutely adore that Figurise Labo Asuka! That Sakura Wars kit also looks really cool, ditto for Mugendramon. Oh the pain I feel for my wallet, even more so with Christmas just round the corner!!

    • Why is the most exciting thing for me here that building kit?

    • Mugendramon looks sick. I honestly never thought they would make a kit of him.

    • The Figure-rise LABO Asuka Langley looks good. I presume we’ll be seeing one for Rei?

    • Excited for that Mugendramon (Machindramon in the English dub) I love that they’re doing these Digimon kits.

    • dat Conan Edogawa kit feels like your building for the truth

    • yeah macross goods

  • Are you excited for the new MG Wing Gundam Zero Ver. Ka? We’re taking a trip down memory lane to look at the original “Endless Waltz” Master Grade.

With articulation all the way down to the feathers, this […]

    • Still holds up OK IMO

    • This MG is most often called XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero Custom as this is before the ‘EW’ naming was used and it’s not a Ver.Ka release; even though the design itself is done by Katoki-san.

      Previous related releases include:
      MG XXXG-01W Wing Gundam “Ver.Ka”
      Release Date: 2004 March
      Price: ¥3,500

      Release Date: 2004 October
      Price: ¥3,800

      MG XXXG-01W Wing Gundam (TV)
      Release Date: 2010 April
      Price: ¥4,000

      MG XXXG-01W Wing Gundam EW
      Release Date: 2011 March
      Price: ¥3,500

MG XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Proto Zero EW
      Release Date: 2013 October
      Price: ¥4,800

MG XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero EW & Drei Zwerg [Special Coating]
      Release Date: 2018 January
      Price: ¥10,000

      Fun Facts…
The XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Proto Zero EW is the version that was eventually made into the XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero Custom EW. The wings are taken from OZ-00MS Tallgeese Flugel EW.

This version is from the movie/OVA so there is no Bird Mode/Neo Bird Mode.
However, the version from the manga which is the one coming out soon (MG XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero EW “Ver.Ka”) has the transformation as well as the shield among other added details.

If you’re a fan of the XXXG-01W Wing Gundam and XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero, as of now, the best kits are:
      MG XXXG-01W Wing Gundam (TV)
MG XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Proto Zero EW
All of the others are based on the original 2004 released, MG XXXG-01W Wing Gundam “Ver.Ka”.
The 2011 does have the ‘EW’ in its name, but it’s just a recolored version of the MG XXXG-01W Wing Gundam “Ver.Ka” from 2004 with an included Action Base connector piece.

With the release of the MG XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero EW “Ver.Ka”, one can hope/presume we will get (most likely as a P-Bandai):
      – MG XXXG-01W Wing Gundam EW “Ver.Ka”
      – MG XXXG-00YSW Wing Gundam Snow White Prelude
      – MG XXXG-00W0R Wing Gundam Zero EW Rebellion
      – MG Drei Zwerg ‘Expansion Set’

    • Awesome kit despite being released oh so long ago, was probably “cutting edge” for its time, haha! Truly a timeless design, and a timeless kit to boot!

    • dat wing tech

    • cool shield mode

    • I looove this design. The angelic wings are MAJESTIC.

    • not bad

  • Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba — since its original manga run in 2016, it has been building outstanding momentum and popularity. Its first movie, which debuted around a week ago in Japan, (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu […]

  • Todd’s quest to build all of the released 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam kits continues! This week, he takes a look at the Gunpla Starter Set Vol. 2.

This particular set is the only way that you can buy the G30th […]

    • the sticker on the neck looks bad

    • Nice starter kit for a beginner, although any HG kit is probably a pretty good starting point for anyone IMO. So many RX-78s…. wonder if we could see an episode where you feature every RX-78 kit released ever? Haha!

    • What the hell? You have an actual ARMY of RX-78’s! Don’t you get tired of building the “same thing” over and over again?

    • cool spike ball, thats rare

    • Never really got into panel lining. I’ll paint an entire kit head to toe, but done ask me to panel line one. 😛

  • We recently took a look at the brand-new HGAC Gundam Heavyarms on Gunpla TV — and alongside it, the 2000 re-release of the 1995 kit (which includes a figure of Trowa!). Before we built the kits, however, we […]

  • You may have seen Todd’s recent review of the Metal Slug X miniature model kits. He mentioned our blog unboxing in that video, but we actually weren’t able to get it up before the review — I mean, look at […]

  • With a new Wing MG on the way soon, it’s the perfect time to take a look back at an older version: the Zero EW version, released in 2004.

Evan will be doing a full video review of this bad boy soon on […]

  • No new Gunpla or items from Bandai Hobby this week, but Kotobukiya is here to save the day! A monstrous four-legged, wheeled Hexa Gear kit comes in, as well as a plethora of new girl kits from Megami Device, […]

    • When I read “Booster Pack” I was thinking, oh cool like the HGBC funky backpacks in randomised packs…? That’s interesting… Then it was cards. Oops.

    • cant wait to see a HoiHoi-San build video

    • Great stuff! I would like to see a PG Unleashed Windmill Gundam too, as well as a PG Super Extreme Mandala Gundam! And how about an MG Devil Gundam that would pretty much be PG sized? G Gundam holds so much potential!! XD

    • can’t wait for the Ninja review

    • Ju-Ju replied 1 month ago

A lot of nice kits coming out, but I’m still waiting here for another MG from the Iron Blooded Orphans series.

    • Hoi Hoi San, save me. Their’s a massive spider in my bathroom.

    • I’m sorry, card WHAT now? :p

    • Battle Spirits Cards are so freaking cool. I specially like the Digimon ones. Even if I don’t think I would use them to play, I wish they were translated to English at least.

  • From a new manufacturer, Xinshi Hobby, comes an interesting set of vehicle kits based on the classic 1999 arcade video game Metal Slug X by SNK! The box contains six individually-boxed kits, however, there are […]

  • From Zeta Gundam, the Baund Doc joins the High Grade Universal Century line of kits! Probably one of the most unique-looking kits that Bandai has produced in some time, this kit is also quite large, standing at […]

    • Great kit, I watched the Z Gundam anime in the 90’s and was really intrigued by the design of this MS! Really wanted a kit of this guy, which never materialised…. until now! So cool, and so big! Now when will we be getting this in MG form? That would be massive, probably PG size, haha!

    • still waiting for kapool HG

    • I really like the colours, but the design itself is just goofy.

    • dats a big girl

    • This kit is crazy.
      I like it.

    • The HGUC NRX-055 Baund Doc is definitely a BIG BOI, and I’m sure fans are excited for this release.
This mobile suit’s mobile armor mode reminds me of the GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam and the mobile suit design overall reminds me of IBO mobile suits.

That kind of red sticker isn’t the best for sure from the reviews I’ve seen.
However, there is a P-Bandai version, MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam [U.C.0088], that has new parts for those red section on the wing (so no more stickers), and also new parts for the front skirt armor, the upper chest, the shoulders, lower legs, and the shield nose-cone.

The next kit I’m looking forward to the MG XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero EW “Ver.Ka”. Hopefully we get an MG XXXG-01W Wing Gundam EW “Ver.Ka” and the Drei Zwerg weapon set released too.

Nice to see Bandai has properly developed this kit instead of updating older parts. There are many kits that fans would like to see made reality, or given the Revive treatment. Revive Jegan when?

    • A big Baund Doc with a big badonkadonk.

    • what a good dog

  • The first standard-version Gundam Heavyarms kit in 20 years is here, from the hit series “Gundam Wing!” This is the first time Heavyarms’ original form — not a Custom or EW version — has gotten a kit all since […]

  • The HGAC Gundam Heavyarms is here, a kit 20 years in the making! I’m so excited for this one, personally, as I love Gundam Wing and am so happy to see its kits being updated and added into modern […]

    • The fact that HGs are now implementing an inner frame system amazes me.
By the way, where are the pictures…? 🤔

      • Very sorry — the gallery system we were trying out seems to be disagreeing with us! The images have been fixed.
As for the frame — well, it’s not a proper inner frame, but rather the inner mechanical parts that are used in the arms and legs.

  • If you’re looking for street fighting giant robots, then look no further than “G Gundam”! This blast from the past features one of the earliest examples of an inner frame in a Gunpla kit–specifically designed […]

    • yeah the hands look great here

    • Looks so awesome, God Gundam sounds so much more awesome than Burning Gundam, but I can see why they had to change it for the English localization… Not the most complex design, but really cool and definitely has an eastern fantasy aesthetic to it! And who can forget the amazing moves it had in the anime? Definitely amazing to see those iconic moves being re-created in this kit, definitely going to consider getting this guy!

    • I do like the screw design

    • MG GF13-017NJII G Gundam came out 2001 November.
MG GF13-001NHII Master Gundam came out 2002 March.
MG GF13-017NJ Shining Gundam came out 2002 May.
MG GF13-021NG Gundam Spiegel came out 2002 August.

There was a G Gundam Version Up Parts release in 2002 November that came in the 2002 November issue of Dengeki Hobby.

There was a ‘Special Edition’ (i.e. not P-Bandai but limited release) for:
MG GF13-017NJII Hyper Mode G Gundam that came out 2003 April.
MG GF13-001NHII Hyper Mode Master Gundam that also came out 2003 April.

The MG GF13-017NJII G Gundam definitely would benefit from an updated release.
I’m surprised that Bandai hasn’t even announced anything yet; especially after releasing the HiRM version.
Speaking of which, there was never a HiRM GF13-017NJ Shining Gundam.

Anyway, if we ever do get an MG 2.0 for the existing kits for Mobile Fighter G Gundam, I suspect we’ll finally get the others as well. We’re definitely long~ overdue for new kits. 2001… Wow. That’s almost 2 decades.

    • 0:46 I don’t know if it’s from the series, but that pose is freaking cool.

  • The Baund Doc from “Mobile Suit Z Gundam” is here! This impressive HG stands at 19cm tall when completed — and don’t get me started about its unique design. We’ve been waiting for this one for some time, and […]

  • Here’s another oldie but goodie for you! The MG G Gundam is the next kit to get a retro review on Gunpla TV, and today we’re taking it out of the box to check out what’s inside. If you’re a fan of G Gundam, […]

  • This episode is Baund to be a good one! This week, we received the last Bandai Hobby releases for October: the ones we’ve been looking forward to all month.

The HG Baund Doc is here! With its large proportions […]

    • Is… Is that a UFO on Tank Tracks?
I should have played Metal Slug.

    • Those cute little Metal Slug kits are to die for! Such nostalgia, makes me want to play the games again! And love that Baund Doc of course, such a huge box, I’m guessing the completed kit will be slightly smaller than a standard MG kit, going by its stats. Can’t wait to see you build it! 😀

    • Technically speaking, if you refer to the ‘EW’ (Endless Waltz) version these days, it’s referring to the version from the manga Glory of the Losers. Bandai has been sticking to the ‘EW’ versions via MG and RG, whereas the ‘TV” versions have been kept to the HGAC. I presume that will continue and Bandai will make an HGAC XXXG-01H2 Gundam Heavyarms Custom (TV) as well as HGAC MMS-01 Serpent (TV); probably both via Premium Bandai.

Of course I remember Anna and how big of a fan she is of the ‘Wing’ series.

No worries. I also prefer the ‘EW’ designs more. I like that the designs, and the fact that they’re MGs. I’m not a fan of decals though.

    • Pre-shaped masking tape is an interesting idea. Also very marketable.

    • woah cut 3x faster Scissors

    • Can’t wait for the triple Dom set Scissors

    • I love the colours of Baund Doc.

    • That big booty gunpla

  • The HGUC RX-78-2 — another retro-review! This granddaddy HG was released back in November of 2001! Released as kit # 21 in the then-new HG Universal Century line, this bad boy was state of the art for his time […]

  • We’ve got not one, but TWO collector buckets of fun to talk about today! Recently, these two limited-time Gunpla Buckets were released, giving us our first look at the brand-new Entry Grade RX-78-2. We’re talking […]

    • where my rx color of the zaku ii

    • ah my kfc rx bucket

    • Have fun building Gunpla while snacking, just got to be careful that you don’t accidentally pop plastic in your mouth instead of the snack pieces! Definitely a great move to make it appeal to younger ones, wonder if they secretly have a collab with KFC to make more people want to buy their buckets… 😛

    • The Christmas colours, sorry to say, look kinda ugly to me. But the sparkly/metallic boi? Tempting.

    • Being an Entry Grade and given the price, this isn’t that bad; especially given the part separation and he included articulation. Honestly, if I was brand new to the hobby, I’d probably start out with the SDCS RX-78-2 if the RX-78-2 w as one of my favorite designs. After that, I might go with the HG Revive and the HG Origins versions.

    • Bucket?

    • Those buckets are cool to keep spare parts from other kits.

    • If it’s gonna be a Christmas version, it should have more vibrant reds and greens.

  • Entry Grade’s Resurgence

Entry Grade has been making a comeback this year. And one of the ways we’re seeing it is with these two new collector buckets featuring the RX-78-2 in different colors, made […]
