OK, I’ve started with my acrylic spray paint on my kit now on the following color schemes as planned:

1. The main colour blue will be replaced with a lighter version of blue. The main reason for a lighter blue is due to the original blue looks darker when it’s fully built as I’ve seen from many completed Zeta Gundam kits. It’s a risk though to change the primary colour to a ligher tone but no harm. This lighter blue will also be used in the catapult base.

2. I’ll also tone down the dark colour of the wave rider back wings to probably the usual dark grey.

3. Finally, the red will be a tad bit metallic spray painted but not too much I hope.

I’ve attached herewith the spray painted plates of the lighter blue. I’m kindda lazy but I might end up respraying those bad nubs if it’s too obvious. I’ve studied the construction manual of the kit and the photos shown has a lighter tone compared to the actual model kit colour. To actually achieve a similar color tone to the photos shown on the box are practically impossible without repainting.

I might end up using the MSZ-008 ZII Gundam colour scheme. Well, let’s just see how things work out.
