Hey everyone!
Just wanted to post the last WIP photos of my (not completed) entry.
I won’t do very detailed descriptions, because there are a lot of photos this time.
Also,…
Also, in the photos where it’s all assembled, there are parts that I didn’t put on the model because it would be a bit risky. For example: armor for the back of the legs and armor for the feet.
Thanks, man! My idea was to make it look like an MS from UC 0088/0093-ish; maybe a combination of elements from Zeta, ZZ, AOZ and maybe UC. Also, the backstory is that this MS was a mix of Jupitris design elements and regular EFF MS elements.
Thanks again for encouraging me to finishing this build!
Thanks, Orchidia! 😀
I did paint it but not completely, besides main painting I just did some minor detail painting (15 minutes before the deadline) and submitted the photos, but I plan on finishing the model properly after the competition is over.
Thanks again for your interest 😉
One of my favorite steps Priming! Mr. surfacer 1000 was used with Iwata 0.05 needle nozzle combo for glass smooth coats.

Next I tackle filling all the hollow parts which are plenty with this HGBF kit.
I’m using magic sculpt for the first time versus polyester putty since the smell rots my…
Extension of zeta’s feet to give it better proportions and more of hyper zeta feel.
I started by gluing end of toe with plastic cement and 1 mm evergreen pla plate,…
Well it looks like I screwed up big time and missed the submission deadline since the submission page isn’t loading. Oh well, can’t do much about it now.
Okay, one last post under decent lighting with a better-than-my-phone camera. This is my submission for this year’s competition, RGM-79/K/U unit 216. RGM-79 is the mobile suit, /K designation for the 1.2 m Kinetic Cannon, /U designation in reference to it’s up-armored state.
Kind of relieved that I’m not the only one sitting around paranoid about whether my entry went through this weekend while waiting for a confirmation email.
Please tell me, why I didn.t got my confirm for now?
I made Lamborghini Sesto Elemento
All rules were followed, I think…
Please, confirm my participation
After pressing ok,there was a message.. thank you we got your stuff..,so I am convinced. But I am,suprised how many people have problems with the page loading and such things.,Its 2017 …
I still have no message, which, if done by hand, is understandable. But having dabbled in entry forms myself, an automated message confirming entry is quite easy to make.
2017 indeed
I have no PM or email too, but I don’t panic. Everything will be allright. But if something went wrong on youre side that would increase my chances for the win quite a lot^^
Alright guys, my last W.I.P. before I submit it. Just waiting on the quick base I made for it to dry before grabbing a real camera and taking decent pictures. This is the most scratch building I’ve done so far, and while it’s pretty simple I’m happy with how it turned out. Good luck to everyone in the competition!
round 2…. what do you guys think? its my first time ever posting online! I’ve always been super scared and bad at technology…….. be kind is sensitive sally!!! lol but any advice or compliments welcome if ur up for it.
i have no idea if the system finally pushed my entry through been up all night trying to get it submitted but it just spins… anyways here are a few shots.
Well it’s still Sunday where I live and I just submitted. I hope 4 months work is not down the drain.. although I had the fun building it I was excited to get into the contest.
Isn’t it sad, that they hardly comment about the contest in the show? They should show interesting builds during the progress. As I watched the show during the last contest, thats what it want to see.
So disappointed my web page just spinning for 45mins no error nothing… I didn’t realize my photos were too big I guess.. Lots of work down drain I’ll post pics again once I figure out how to shrink them down for this website
Thanks guys i had them all under 450k but i guess servers were busy IDK but 5hrs later the page shows it went through after spinning and making my life misery! hope they count it and its time stamped because it was well before 12am japan time so wish me luck! if not i will flip my shit hahaha way too much work done for tech issues
I couldn’t complete my entry, but I submitted it anyway. But why couldn’t you complete it if you had a ton of time? Well, for three reasons:
1 – My hobby knife broke a few weeks ago, and that made scratchbuilding and detailing spectacularly slower.
2 – My airbrush broke a few days ago when I was starting painting. I had to order a new one and wait…[Read more]
Why those things always happen just prior to deadline?!
Just fixed that and post to competition. Here’s a front picture of my entry.
God luck everyone!
One of the few weathered gunpla entries. Very good.
