Can anyone suggest the best & fastest way to strip panel lining? I used the red gundam marker drip type for my rg zeta karaba. I did not like the outcome so i want to redo it using gray. btw iv’e done the panel lining it for about a year now and have lost my manual so as much as possible, I dont want to disassemble the kit. thanks.
sup guys! so i bought the theatrical release edition of the banshee & unicorn gundam, is there anything i could do to make it look more shiny/glossy? out of the box they look dull and flat.
think the standard reply would be use a really high gloss clear coat or future floor polish, but since these kits are clear I don’t really think you should do that so I really don’t think there is anything that you’d really want to do to them. clear kits are kinda tricky like that.
well i guess if u want u could give up the clear psycho frame and made a silver base over clear color to produce more shinniess but overall the idea of using gloss clear is not good ull fog up the clear color so dont do that
I’ve heard of some people dipping canopies of model planes in Future Floor Polish. But if this gives this the result you are looking for…..?
There is an other option, you could try finding some normal pearl powder. I say normal, because most come with a color shading. This means that some pearl powder come with a pigment which gives a green,…[Read more]
good luck with the project. keep in mind that the torso of the zaku & the gouf custom is different. might have a hard time connecting the leg of the other to the hips & torso of the other since the RG has its own inner frame. keep us posted with your project. 🙂
very nice. the clear parts seam to have a glittery effect in them. is it really like that or it only seems that way on your photos? good job on managing nubs, cant find a single nubmark on anyone of your photos. 🙂
This is not exactly a gunpla modeling question but its still related to gunpla. What do you do with your gunpla boxes? do you keep them or throw them away? i’ve been keeping all of mine but im running out of room to store them.
I actually keep mine too, but only the lids. I sort of disassemble them so they get flat. Then I store them in a large PG box. This way I’ll have all the boxes, yet they take little room to store. Oh, and I throw the bottom sections out
So far kept all of my HGUC and RG boxes fully 3D as it’s nice to see them all lined up in order. As for MGs I have about half of them 3D and the other half just the flattened lids like @teetee580 ‘s ones.
how was your build? i was also working on this kit last week. messed up the decals beam shields. just a heads up (if you haven’t done it yet) you are supposed to put the decals on the backside of the beam shield. 😀
make sure that your nipper is sharp. its hard to avoid stress marks if you are only using nippers to cut parts from runners and clean the excess sprue. use a hobby knife to cut away excess sprue to get best result. just watch out not to overcut it.
