WIP 3
Almost all the painting is done, just one more red coat for the thrusters. The painting isn’t perfect. Much happier about the weathering even though it didn’t turn out as I expected. I just wanted some rusty touches but it turned into something desert-ish. However, this might be better than what I had planned =P Now I only have to “destroy”…[Read more]
WIP 2
All the parts that didn’t need painting are done and the others are drying(thrusters need 1-2 more layers of red). Can’t believe I’m actually somewhat on schedule.
Next step: Weathering! Time to dust of the tamiya weathering kit and my silver gundam marker.
The stress makes me want to pull out my arms!
Thanks! =D
I’ll have to do something about the nubmark, I think I’ll turn it into a “convenient scratch mark”
Sanding it down is also a good idea but I think it’ll be trouble when I apply the weathering (I use a file to make the scratches and then fill it up with a metallic/silver gundam marker)
WIP 1
Torso, arms and the upper legs are done. Just gotta scavenge some stickers from my other kits to give it a more MG-like feel and some slight weathering if I have the time.
Next up: painting the missing colour details onthe head, shield and feet. It’s like a race against the clock!

I’m a fan of your reviews, man! I I enjoy your: “Do you want to buy this?” line at the end of every review. About the kit. I would suggest sanding the nub mark down on the lower arm, as it would blend in much better with the plastic.
Thanks! =D

After working a bit on my intermediate plans, I realised that it probably wouldn’t be on par with most other intermediate kits so I shelved it(I’ll just finish it after the competition) and decided to start over in the beginner category. Plenty of time left anyways(sarcasm)
I’ve seen some pretty amazing entries for the beginner’s category though.…[Read more]
I like your reviews mate. Honestly, I hardly imagine that you would go into this category. Anyhow, the intermediate category is indeed very intimidating.
Thanks! 😀
I wanted to give the intermediate category a shot but I soon realised that I just didn’t have enough time to make a good kit for that category =/
The competition is almost over, but I finally decided to start working on it, the 1/144 GM Space Assault Type
a quick overview of my plans for these antiques:
– torse of the GM cannon, everything else of the GM Sniper Custom + custom beam rifle of the GM Sniper
– my first attempt at seamline removal(I couldn’t have picked a better project, joy!)
