    Wow bro @johnnel $200-300 each?????

    • Actually mine i got from a friend in Japan for $400 set which includes OO Raiser, RX-0 Unicorn, RX-78 & Mega size RX-78

    • That’s what happens when you try to get a gentei kit well after it was released. They sell out real fast. I’m looking at some of the RGs I bought for pretty much original price, and they’re now over 120$, and I saw prices for some spike over 250$ at some points.

  • Phillip posted a new activity comment 9 years, 3 months ago

Wow, you got this bro @johnnel!! I’m jealous!!

    • Yeah got lucky 🙂

There are some shops here at SG who are selling these kits, but the price are so high.

I will post later the finish kit and on que the RX-0 Unicorn 🙂

@johnnel That is my plan Bro. I just haven’t got the chance of finding a decent stand or holder for my magnifying glass. I have a big one but I need something to hold it. 😀

Those are just clear stickers and rub transfers. I noticed it too that in the photos it looked like water slides. This is quite an old kit, the clear sticker are thicker…[Read more]

That is exactly what I meant here. Plan the time slot is important. If is a 144 scale, I guess is lot more easy to work with less than 4 months to work but if is a 100 scale, might be some problem and of course plan properly shouldn’t be a problem at all.

@Johnnel, Hope to see some of your WIPs soon… cheers. 😀

    • @kuroneko ya time management is always key.

for me i’ve yet to start my entry (backloged on kits) but i average 2 weeks for a 1/100 done up to match bandais photo examples

      • you are fast… 😀 One MG Unicorn took me 1 whole month to sand, prime and color… but of course I can do it in a week (16 hours per day), but don’t think so… as I don’t want to get fired by my boss for sleeping on my job… LOL!!!

        • Well I’ve knocked off MG grades in under a week avg, 4-5. granted I also built a PG wing in 13 hrs, so maybe I am, I’ve gotten to used to shaving my nubs that aside from a touch of sanding & maybe but of putty, prep don’t take long and I’ve sorta been using the same Primer for years

          • Do you mean you did all the step in that amount of time? I mean sand, prime, sand and removed all sunken mark, prime again, base coat, color, clear coat, decal, clear coat, panel lining, clear coat.

You must have a fast hands… Geez… you are very fast. 🙂

            • well my routine generally is dependent on the outcome. like the pg wing, not gotten around to finishing it, tend to putter on him at a nice slow relaxed pace inbetween pay kits.

but last serious MG i did for myself, went from box to full paint to bandai imgs standards in about a week.

personally, atm i just want to finish the current kit i’m on…[Read more]

      • @bloodnut38 Do you remember collecting the Marvel comics in the 90’s with all those foil covers (hard to believe 20 years ago now….)? Thankfully they started those comic collection books about 10-12 years ago with the 20 to 30 issues in 1 big book, that’s the only reason my “collection” is as big as it is, lol!

        • LOL, yeah, i still have most of them, hard to forget the really tacky 90’s costumes.

          • @Phillip kind of. My mom was fascinated with jets as I recalled and my dad’s name is Harly. The idea was to take the jet and my dad’s name together. Could have been jetly but they found out there was the martial artist jet li by the time I was born on 1989.
Oh and this was at the Philippines so yeah. They just named me that way.
