Hi,
I’ve found a MG “One Year War 0079 Color Version MS-06F/J Zaku II” at my local comic book store. I was wondering how this compared to the normal MG Zaku II and the MG Zaku II 2.0?
To my memory (and if I have the right one 😛 ), this is the exact same mold as the MG Zaku II 1.0 with different shades of green. Being effectively the 1.0, the 2.0 has more detail and articulation in most aspects than the older 1.0 design.
As Nick said, the Zaku OYW color is a recolored version of the original MG Zaku that came out in 1995. In terms of detail, I was failing to get at the fact that they look just about the same on the outside other than proportions, but the inner frame is far more detailed on the 2.0 due to the more experience that Bandai had with master grades by that point. Well the MG Zaku didn’t even have a full inner frame – really it’s got the lower legs and that’s pretty much it. So yeah, the MG Zaku v2 inner frame is more detailed than “nothing”. 🙂
I can see that danger. It could end up being like medabots, where you get better equipment or parts and upgrade your gunpla and become stronger.
I think another way it could go would be instead of focusing on having the “better” gundam, it could be like who is the better pilot. So kinda like a G Gundam tournie feel. I think I’d definitely enjoy…[Read more]
