All right, it was a long-long way 😀 . Finally I can say that my Jigabachi AV model is finished. I added a few modifications to the model and quite glad how it turned out. I hope you enjoy it. And you can see more photos in my profile.
Of course frame parts are identical, so it is possible. If it is really cheaper for you to buy 2 kits. Maybe you can find someone who agree to exchange 2 frame runners – I guess it is not hard to find someone who want green psycho frame unicorn but without this enormous upgrades.
The only really problem would be to find red parts for two more shields.
Unfortunately I did not take photos during working on it and did not use references. But I think I will soon make a similar mod for MG 2.0, and try to make a sort of manual, and it will work for RG too, since MG and WG structurally identical and differ only in scale.
I thinking about putting leds in backpack nozzles, but since I decided to place MS on “ground” (moon base from kotobukiya) working boosters would look weird compared to if I put it on action base “flying in space”.
I do not really like how looks kits with lot of leds here and there, I just a mono-eye lover )))
Hey, guys! My next challenge was to put led into RG Zaku II mono-eye! And most complicated part was to keep work mini-gear inside, that allow mono-eye rotate simultaneously with head. And looks like I did it!
P.S: note that led color is true – pink, not red as you can usually see.

Still working on my 1/72 Jigabachi AV helicopter. I’m added bend on wings to match prototype (it’s strange that Kotobukiya didn’t made it properly). And also constructed new…
MG Duel perhaps the only model that I would like to have, but not bought yet, so this time – I’m In.)))
P.S: And could you show the newest Kotobukiya Tachikoma model, when it came out?
Continuing to build helicopter model Jigabachi AV from GITS.
I modified front chassis part to better match the scale and form, using medical needles. And hydraulics on the rear chassis also replaced by the needles, because no painting looks more like a polished metal than the real polished metal. )))
looks amazing man. The fact that its not overbearing and very minimalist makes all the difference i think. look forward to see more of your build in this kit
Currently I’m building Jigabachi AV helicopter model from Kotobukiya. It is not bad model overall but I decide to improve it in some aspects.
And the first thing that caught my eye – quite boring Gatling gun detail. So, using medical needles, antenna tube and some other pieces I constructed new one. I bet it looks badass now ;D
