Wow thanks again, your reply is far better than most of the tutorials I’ve read lol I’ll print it, I’ll be buying some softener, would you recommend one in particular? My hobby store has quite a lot of choice but I know they have mostly all tamiya products.

And one last question before I start making so many tests with spoons and colors, what…[Read more]

    • 1. I haven’t used Pledge myself, but have read, seen and heard a lot about it. It reacts like the Vallejo paints and it is known that those paints and solvents don’t mix well. It is strongly recommended to NOT use lacquer thinners or such to dilute or clean Vallejo paints and thus Pledge. It will turn the driver/binder of the paint into a goo…[Read more]

    • Sorry, forgotten to answer another question, when applying decals, get some decal softner. There are various manufacturers selling this. You could optionally get the decal setter, this is a sort of adhesive and works great when the decals you got are old. If the decals are new, I don’t recommend using it as it makes the decals stick heavily to the…[Read more]

    • You’re very welcome, I’m blushing at the moment, haha.

At the moment I’m using Micro Sol and Micro Set by Microscale Industries. The Micro Sol is the one used for “melting” the decal. It’s rather weak and needs a few coats on an average decal. On thicker decals like ones from Tamiya or Bandai you might need three or four applications.
      This is…[Read more]

  • Another question from me ^^, been practicing a lot lately with different paints and coats. I got two questions.

    1. I tried to spray with my airbrush some Future shine (pledge) just after I cleaned my airbrush with Tamiya airbrush cleaner, do you know if this product makes some small depots in the airbrush because I saw some just after I put…[Read more]

Thank you so much for the help! Really appreciated

  • Hi guys, I’m new to airbrushing and have been watching a lot of tutorials and some people use air dryers for paints and coats.. is it a bad or good idead I’d like to know your opinions.

    Thanks

    • There is nothing wrong with using a hair dryer for speeding the process of drying a layer of paint. There are a few things that have to be taken in consideration. Make sure the fan and its internals aren’t covered in dust or any other foreign objects as they will blow onto the model/piece.
Be mindful that if the piece is very wet, you might cause…[Read more]

Here is the Sinanju Ver Ka Titanium Finish I just finished… really fun model to build, I was afraid of trying it after reading about it but it’s not that difficult. You just…

Anime Xtreme has got a very good selection of Gundam, but they are so pricey, I used to order from there but some Gundams were 30-40$ over the average price + shipping (and I’m not talking about PG..) and never understood why. Otherwise it is an awesome store.

Hey, shouldn’t they just remove the “titanium finish” of the HR Barbatos and just make it MG, it would make such an awesome kit…

Hi Guys I’m new to the forums so HELLO! =D

I’m a big fan of the 00 Series and I was wondering if you guys knew how to check the restocking updates of Bandai because I really am watching for the 1/100 models to come back. Thanks!

    • Nick replied 4 years ago

At the start of every month Bandai will update this page http://bandai-hobby.net/site/schedule.html with the PDF of restocks and new releases for that month.
If you can’t speak Japanese then you can just copy the PDF’s url into Google Translate and open it up.
Unfortunately we can only see the month we’re in but it’s better than nothing 🙂
