Thanks! A lot of people seem to really like the blue I used. I think you should spring for one! Its very well articulated, and its got good joints. If you have trouble with the ankles like other people those are typically an easy fix. Not to mention, Exia is one of the cheaper master grade kits.

You should put down a gloss coat first, anything from mr.hobby is probably fine in light coats. If you’re airbrushing, you can go for pledge future, which is a floor polish that many modelers use for a gloss coat. It works, but sometimes I can’t seem to get all the enamel off, but that could be my own fault, I’ve only used the enamel wash twice
So the winter months are coming and i’m rushing to finish painting up my kit, but here’s a preview! This is probably my favorite weapon in all of Gundam
I disagree, it depends on how well you scribe them. If they come out all squiggly then you’ll probably still be in beginners. Still, I think you should do your best!
Hmmmm … Well this complicated story of change category depending on the change in Kit Will it be allowed to make a Top Coat in kit without being moved from category?
Haha Well I guess I can’t call myself a noob anymore! That’s quite a compliment in itself really 😛 For future reference the one I built was the S-Gundam the Ex-S is the upgraded version.
The thing is, its hard to tell. You can try to do battle damage but do it at a beginner level. You can try painting but also do that at a beginner level. Overall, we just have to submit the kits and let the judges sort through them
Thing is if we know what the limit is, then it’s easier for us to perfect those points instead of throwing a bunch of gunpla beam sabers at a dartboard and see which one sticks.

Interesting mixture. You did great! I think you’re quite experienced with paintings. 🙂
