MY 1/144 NG Prototype Dom has met a untimely demise. There are a lot of conflicting memories surrounding it, and in all honesty, I cannot find myself to finish it until some time in the future.
So in the mean time (during these last two weeks or so) I’m gonna buckle down and finish my original entry, the HG Z’Gok.
WOO… M struggling to complete my CharZabi… for the last two weeks… time getting less, more jobs to be done be it my Charzabi and also at work and at home… it’s the end of the year… let’s work hard to finish our project! 😉
No picture updates for my Prototype Dom, but something just as significant.
For the longest time, I was debating on the color scheme, and I was thinking of using a combination I usually use for customs, black and gold, but this time, I’m going to make this project a much more personal cause. Recently, I lost a friend who was taken from us in a…[Read more]
So I’ve gotten a fair bit accomplished on my NG Prototype Dom. Sadly some of the pictures look like garbage, even though they looked fine on the camera. The first picture is of the torso and half the arms. The torso is not glued together because I need to route a couple wires for the LED mod. The hands I’m going to use are leftover from a HG…[Read more]
Perhaps the “thirds time the charm” will hold true for this.
Got my hands on another kit, a old school kit, and the ideas are just flowing with this one.
This is the 1/144 NG YMS-09 Prototype Dom from the Gundam MSV line. I’m not going to reveal what I’m going to do just yet, mostly because I need to see if I’ll be able to pull it off first.
Doing the same build. To be honest some parts of this kit are real pain in the ***.
Dont be lazy like ma and be sure to replace knee joints. Ill post the update photo of my build (basically bottom half) later today.
PS. Look out for the bazooka holder part. The plastic is ultra brittle. The part broken on my kit after putting the bazooka in it…[Read more]
At this point, I’m not too sure if I would be able to make new knee joints, but I will probably modify the lower leg to give it more of a bend. I did that with another model a while back and it worked out nicely.
Truthfully, I’m not too sure if I am going to be using the bazooka. I have a couple other ideas floating around in my head. for this…[Read more]
Sadly, for now, my Z’Gok project is going back into the box. I’ve lost major interest in doing it, and I would rather not force myself to finish it. But where this goes on hold, a new entry will be taking shape (hopefully) soon. I’m going to the shop where I usually get my gunpla in hopes to find what I am searching for. I won’t give details…[Read more]
So here’s the rundown. Got my Z’Gok pretty much put together, as well as seam line removal done, except the torso. I am going to be picking up the LED and battery holder up this week so I can install that and then do seam line removal on the torso. I’m still debating on the color scheme, but in the mean time I will be putting some battle damage…[Read more]
Did one of several mods to my HG Z’Gok last night. Basically all I did was drill a hole into the piece that the monoeye would be at (well, maybe drill is not the right word) with my hobby knife, making it just big enough to fit a piece of pink runner into it. I will be getting a clear LED, as well as a watch battery holder for it. In the mean…[Read more]
Well, bear in mind that LEDs do have voltage limitations. Most of the time, they can vary from 1.5 to 2.2 volts. Some batteries can go as little from 1.5 to 6 volts. You NEVER want to attach a 9v for low voltage because the thing will pop. I’m no real expert (I’ve dabbled with electronic assembly) but there are some resources out there for…[Read more]
