Started and finished a quick build. It’s a VelociRaptor, based on Java’s design and Ma.k inspired.
Sorta anti-grosserhund by the merc or something, I just liked the design.
Now to paint it View
That was the idea, I love the Kobayashi designs and in dragon’s heavon this design is reused in a different scale and a bit more organic, closer to the original sketches.
A japanese modeller calling himself Alaya made something similar before, I’m using his mainly for inspiration (hence the lack of a-symmetry in the arms)

Fair play that is looking pretty sweet!!!!
You have achieved the slightly creepy organic Kobayashi look , I do like the way you have built the spine section.
Thanks, was dubbing the spine part as the original and most sketches use a cloth cover for the snake-part, but I suck at sculpting and like open mechanics a lot.
Some progress again, almost done with the putty work, then it´s on to detailing!
Also cut-up a spoon for the head.
The Alaya influence is very obvious…
Had some fun sanding -_-
And started to flesh out the design for the arms.
Now it just needs reputtying in some places, more sanding, more detail, more arms, more head, more everything o_0
I find a weird satisfaction at sanding. It’s the gradual frutation of what you want a surface would look like. Especially when you have those gaps and seams that disappear and meld together.
Yup, been wanting to make a gampf thingy for years, so seemed like a good time.
Pushed all other projects to the side for this too.
Would be cool if you joined, though I wouldn´t mind missing the competition 😛
Sweet…looks intimidating and unique so far, like a mandala and devil gundam had a baby in the IBO universe.
Looks like some of the old artwork for the Baund doc. I lile it.

Hehe, that’s one way to look at it ^_^

Don’t sculpt the material, use real material that’s what I usually do.
Or should I say that’s what I’m gonna do.;)
