That kit looks great. Your paint job and weathering are awesome. I’ve been eying it up, but don’t wanna fork out the dough. Even if I did get it, it would never turn out thus good. Kudos!
Just added the VF-31J SIEGFRIED Fighter Mode (Hyate Immelman Use) to my small Mecha Collection collection. The stickers weren’t as bad as I thought they’d be. Except for the cockpit. The other Battleship Yamato ones were just panel lined with a little hand painting done. Fun, cheap, and super detailed!
Last episode was the third time you guys read one of my comments! I don’t even mind that I haven’t won anything. I feel like a special guest commenter at this point. The name is pronounced just like aerodynamic, but with a mike instead of a mic to answer you question lol. If anyone is interested, I’ll post a shot of the new Macross Mecha Colle kit…[Read more]
All I did with them was hand paint the details with enamels, gloss clear coat krylon acrylic, panel line wash enamel, matte coat with krylon acrylic. Take the plunge. Even if it doesn’t turn out the way you want its a learning experience. I’m buying an airbrush set this week, so I expect some failures on the way! Thanks for the encouragement.
I’m building the pg banshee with LEDs and was wondering if I should use the orange foil stickers that go over the led that’s set into the psychoframe of the forearm. Will they block the light?
Nope, the stickers go on the sides of the LED unit, while the LED itself is in the very end (It looks like a small glob of glue). The stickers on it are just used so that you don’t notice the unit within the psycho frame.
Thanks for showing us the Metal Gear kit. It would look amazing painted and weathered up. Just finished an Armored Core kit and had a blast. Its nice to take a little break from bandai. Not for long though. Got the led unit for my pg banshee from you guys yesterday. Fist bump to come!
